Dear Committee on Planning Hawaii County,
I build my small vacation cottage on my 5 -acre ag property in South Kona in 1997 and have
rented it since that time paying my' GET and TAT taxes consistently for 21 years.
The income allowed me to develop my farm and to now maintain it. Without this income I
could now continue with just the income from selling my coffee. Not allowing rentals such as
mine on land zoned ag will compromise my livelihood. Also regardless of Passage of Bill 311
request that rentals such as mine be grandfathered in.
