HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0739.210 2016-2018I have an opinion about the proposed VAT. My son and I owned a house that was burned and covered with lava in Kapoho Vacationland. We had planned to try to buy another property (for my son to live in and resurrect our rental business) when our insurance pays. But now I'm thinking, maybe not. We have always paid property taxes and sales taxes, etc. We have met life long friends who were our guests. We brought many tourists from all over the world to the island and along with them came their money to spend in our community. Now we are going to be punished for this service to the community. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Are you going to start taxing people who just have friend guests visit too?
