Dear Committee on Planning Hawaii County,
I'm getting in touch about the bill that would make things challenging for, me and my family. I
have been hosting on airbnb for almost 10 years now. It is the only means of income my
family has at this point. It has been the best thing for our family as we have young children
that we home school.
Without being able to host at our home we would have to get babysitters and probably send
our children to school so we wouldn't be able to work from home with airbnb. Please let us
continue to host. Since we have been doing this for years if we could be grandfathered in and
approved to continue hosting people we would be so grateful.
Also with the current lava situation and all the displaced people I think it is important that we
are able to continue to host people espically displaced residents... Please ammend the bill to let
us locals continue to host at our primary residence!
