RE: Proposed amendment to Bill No. 165, A Bill for an Ordinance Amending
Chapter 19, Article 10, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition,
as Amended), Relating to Real Property Tax Exemptions for Disabled or
Unemployable Veterans.
Please see below a proposed amendment to Bill No. 165 that would change the effective date
from"upon approval"to "July 1, 2019." The proposed change is illustrated below in Ramseyer
format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 165; material to be deleted is bracketed and
stricken and material to be added is underscored.
SECTION 5 of Bill No. 165 is amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect [upon approval.] on July 1, 2019."
Due to the limited scope of this amendment, a draft copy of the Draft 2 of this bill that would
result if this proposed amendment is adopted is not attached.
