• <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII +� �''%'�=•� STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �TE•OF�N�'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 643 113 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $1,000 TOWARDS ENSURING THE CONTINUITY OF <br /> ESSENTIAL AIR SERVICE AT THE WAIMEA-KOHALA AIRPORT <br /> WHEREAS, the Kohala Coast Resort Association is donating $1,000 towards <br /> ensuring the continuity of essential air service at the Waimea-Kohala airport; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds are part of community contributions required by the <br /> U.S. Department of Transportation, and will be administered by the Department of <br /> Research and Development; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states s that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that <br /> cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal <br /> Resolution process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED.BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
