OF h <br /> '• . <br /> $.\,hili/i` <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII ,I _ �_ STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> ,TE <br /> OF 1414 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. .648 IS <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $542 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, Polynesian Adventure Tours, LLC is donating $542 to the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used for the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo & <br /> Gardens; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, mayaccept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawai`i County Department of Finance has requested that <br /> cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal <br /> Resolution process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
