SUBJECT: Presentation in the Finance Committee
By means of this communication I am requesting 30 minutes in the Finance Committee meeting
to discuss concerns raised by representatives of the Leilani Subdivision, as well as the Pahoa and
Volcano Business communities, regarding issues resulting from the ongoing volcanic eruption
and the County's management of imposed emergency declaration requirements. Due the
urgency of the matter, and the need to have this matter discussed at a Council meeting in the Hilo
Council Chambers, I am also requesting a breach of established deadlines to have this important
matter placed on the Finance Committee meeting agenda for August 7, 2018.
