Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 636-18, reports as follows:

Resolution 636-18, transmitted by Ronald Kim, Deputy Corporation Counsel, via
Communication No. 980 dated June 29, 2018, authorizes a grant of easement S-41 on, through,
and/or over a portion of Kaomoloa Road, Lot R-1 of File Plan 1683, Tax Map Key No.: 6-7-003,
for sewer purposes to Waimea Wastewater Company, Inc., situated at Lalamilo and Waikoloa,
Waimea, District of South Kohala, Island, County and State of Hawai`i.
The roadway contains an area of approximately 860 square feet, and would be used for a sewer
easement to serve the Lualai Subdivision, with an anticipated sales price of less than $1,000.
Ms. Nahua Guilloz, Vice President of Business Administration at Parker Ranch and the
Corporate Secretary of Waimea Wastewater Company, appeared via the Waimea office
videoconference. Ms. Guilloz stated this grant easement (designated as S-41) inadvertently was
not reserved at the time the roadway had been dedicated to the County.
There was no further discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 636-18,
and recommends its adoption.
