Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 163, reports as follows:
Bill No. 163, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 983 dated
July 6, 2018, amends Ordinance No. 18-68, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019.
This bill appropriates revenues in the State Grants—Hawai`i Tourism Authority account
($145,000); and appropriates the same to the Hawai`i Tourism Authority account. Funds would
be used by the Department of Research and Development to develop and implement its
Ho`okaulike Signage project.
There was no further discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 163, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
