CALL TO The regular meeting of the Committee on Finance was called to order at

ORDER OF The Chair directed the Committee to proceed to the next order of business,
RESOLUTIONS: Order of Resolutions.
Res. 633-18: AUTHORIZES THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A
LICENSE EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII,
DEPARTMENT OF HAWAIIAN HOMELANDS, PURSUANT TO
HAWAII REVISED STATUTES 46-7, FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
TO ACCEPT A LICENSE EASEMENT FOR A PORTION OF "MANA
PLACE" OVER AND THROUGH THE PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS
TAX MAP KEY: 6-4-004:057
This license easement agreement provides the public a clear right to traverse
over the portions of the subject property to access residential properties, while
also allowing for the County's maintenance of this portion of Mana Place.

Motion to Approve: Mr. Richards moved to recommend adoption of
Res. 633-18. Seconded by Ms. Poindexter.
CHR. DAVID: Mr. Richards, go ahead.
MR. RICHARDS: Yeah, I'm going to ask for the support, my colleagues. This
has been in process for about 40 years, as I understand. It's been one of those
things that there's been a little bit of stutter -steps in the paperwork, but this is
finally going to clear it and resolve everything. I think this goes back to
Kalani Schutte's days, actually predates him. I'm very glad that we're finally
getting this thing done, so I ask for your support.
CHR. DAVID: Awesome. Thank you, Mr. Richards. And, Council Members,
for your information, we have Mr. Mark Yim, from Hawaiian Home Lands,
here in the audience, if we have any questions for him. Other than that, if no
one else needs any discussion? Alright, all those in favor of approving
Resolution 633-18 please say "aye."
Vote on Res. 633-18: The motion to recommend adoption of Res. 633-18 was
(Approved) carried by the following voice vote:
