Our family joined the sailing club earlier this year after hearing lots of good things
from some of our friends. It was our first experience with sailing. We were taught
how to rig the boat, navigate, safety measures, etc. What a fun experience forms. o
adults and our 10 year old son! I appreciate all of the effort that the county wild' co
put into ensuring this club has a MOU to remain at the beach. Its not feasible ttc
store the boats offsite and transport them each sailing day. I have a great deal` .�
confidence in the County of Hawaii's ability to make things happen that foster tido

I have been a member of Na Hoa Holomoku Sailing Club for more than six years and I'm
proud to be part of this exceptional all volunteer community club. As a member you have
access to the entire club's boats, PFD's, sailing and boating safety training all with patience
and support of the members. This club provides unusually affordable access to sailing
opportunities for all; young and old and beginners and seasoned sailors.
I am in agreement with the other Sailing Club members that there must be a plan to continue
this Sailing Club's spot on the Hilo Bay front. This non-profit club will not be able to
continue if the members do not have access to sailboats and access to the ocean. Please
support this sailing club in securing a signed MOU regarding the ongoing use of the bay front
location. Thank you for your help and support.
