Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 166, reports as follows:
Bill No. 166, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 995 dated
July 20, 2018, amends Ordinance No. 18-68, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Research and Development Miscellaneous Private
Contributions account ($1,200); and appropriates the same to the Essential Air Service
Waimea-Kohala Airport—Private account. Funds would be used as a joint effort between
government agencies and the local community, to ensure the continuity of air service at the
Waimea-Kohala airport.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 166, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
