Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 656-18, reports as follows:
Resolution 656-18, transmitted by Council Chair Valerie T. Poindexter, via Communication
No. 1020 dated August 2, 2018, awards a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources
Preservation Maintenance Stewardship Grant to Pohaha I Ka Lani.
This approves a grant of$74,250 to Pohaha I Ka Lath, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to
protect, preserve, and restore the Waipi`o Valley Lookout in Hamakua(Tax Map Key:
4-8-004:006), pursuant to Section 10-16 of the Hawai`i County Charter.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 656-18,
and recommends its adoption.
