Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 654-18, reports as follows:
Resolution 654-18, transmitted by Council Member Maile David, via Communication
No. 1018 dated July 25, 2018, awards a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources
Preservation Maintenance Stewardship Grant to Ho`omalu Ka`u.
This approves a grant of$58,600 to Ho`omalu Ka`u, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to
protect, preserve, and restore the Kahua Olohu, Kaunamano, Ka`u property (Tax Map Key:
9-5-012:005), pursuant to Section 10-16 of the Hawai`i County Charter.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 654-18,
and recommends its adoption.
