Re: Resolution Accepting Donation co
Enclosed is a resolution accepting the donation of two buses from the Maui County
Department of Transportation, c/o Don Medeiros, Director, Department of
Transportation, County of Maui, Wailuku, Hawai`i 96793. The buses will be used to
provide island-wide transportation for County of Hawai`i.

Please prepare a resolution to accept a donation of two buses from Maui County Department of
Transportation.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Maui County Department of Transportation has two retired buses, that are available for transfer to Hawaii
County Mass Transit Agency. One of the vehicles is a 2004 ADI double deck bus and the other is a 2014
Chevy bus. Vehicles will be used on our island wide public transit system. These additional buses will
increase our bus fleet as well as improve efficiency, allowing for safe and reliable transportation. We have
previously obtained buses in this manner from the City and County of Honolulu.
Hawaii County will cover the costs for shipping buses to the Hawaii Island from Maui.
