Mg.ro <br /> OP•M� . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 672 : 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KAT RURAL <br /> HEALTH COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION, INC., FOR THE 8TH ANNUAL FLOATING <br /> LANTERN CELEBRATION. <br /> WHEREAS, Ka`u Rural Health Community Association, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization that supports and promotes community empowerment through education and <br /> economic development opportunities; and <br /> WHEREAS, for the past seven years, Kali.Rural Health Community Association, Inc., <br /> has hosted the Floating Lantern Celebration at the Punalu`u Black Sand Beach Park, which <br /> brings together individuals, families, and communities to honor and pay tribute to their loved <br /> ones who have passed away; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ka`u Rural Health Community Association, Inc., is requesting funds for <br /> tents, tables, chairs a PA system, taiko drummers, a hula halau, musicians, and banners for the Stn <br /> Annual Floating Lantern Celebration on November 24, 2018; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations that provide drug- <br /> free and alcohol-free events for the community; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from the Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Ka`u Rural Health Community Association, Inc., for the Stn <br /> Annual Floating Lantern Celebration. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
