Do you want to raise taxes so we can have at least 10 people there sitting on their butts making overtime to make us feel "safe"? None of this makes any logical sense. They will arrest people for trying to look at lava while most of the crime here goes unsolved... Nothing has changed from last week. The last windfall the County got they immediately wasted it with no public benefit in a backroom deal. Maybe should stop doing those and people might have more trust in the local government. No one has asked the County of Hawaii to impose martial law in Lower Puna and wall it off like a Warsaw ghetto. Make the National Guard do their job. Heaven forbid The County actually lets people look at the lava from a safe distance. Have a police force that actually protects and serves instead of just writing tickets like traffic fascists and people might actually want to do that job and there would be less overtime. For example police that will help push someone's car out of the road instead of just showing up to block traffic and write tickets would be nice. This sets a bad precedent that the County can just make up for any/every shortfall by raising taxes. Mahalo, Chris Madsen Comm. No. CISUI Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android Ref. To: P((QU Q1 1 Ref.
