The regular meeting of the Committee on Governmental Relations and Economic
ORDER:
Development was called to order at 10:20 a.m., in the Council Chambers,
Kailua-Kona, by Mr. Dru Mamo Kanuha, Chair.

Comm. 16.2: REPORT OF SISTER CITY ACTIVITIES: JULY 1, 2017, TO JUNE 30, 2018
From Executive Assistant and Sister City Protocol Officer, Rose Bautista, dated
July 31, 2018, submitting the above report pursuant to Section 2-166 of the
Hawaii County Code.
Motion to Close File: Ms. Poindexter moved to close file on Comm. 16.2.
Seconded by Ms. David.
CHR KANUHA: I did want to mention that we currently have Ms. Lee Loy and
Mr. Richards in the room. I don't see Ms. O'Hara back in Hilo. We did get a
communication from, or not a communication but a verbal communication from

the Mayor's Office and Ms. Bautista that she would like this agenda item to be
postponed so that she could be here to explain the sister city activities at a later
date. So, if that's okay with the Council, I'd like to ask for a postponement to the
next committee meeting, which is September fourth.
Vote on Motion to Ms. Lee Loy moved to postpone Comm. 16.2 to
Postpone: September 4, 2018. Seconded by Mr. Richards and
(Approved) carried by the following voice vote:
Ayes: Committee Members Chung, David, Eoff,
Lee Loy, O'Hara, Poindexter, Richards, and
Chair Kanuha — 7.
Noes: None.
Absent: Committee Members O'Hara and Ruggles — 2.
Excused: None.
