RESOLUTION NO. 683 la
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE FITNESS EQUIPMENT FOR THE
PAHOA DISTRICT PARK.
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation strives to provide readily
accessible and safe recreational opportunities for the residents and visitors of Puna; and
WHEREAS, the Pahoa District Park is expanding to include a weight and fitness room
for exercise and physical training, which will be available for public use; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase a
Champion Barbell 4-Way Multi-Station for the Pahoa District Park; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase fitness equipment for the Pahoa District Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $6,500
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5507.06 Department of Parks and Recreation $6,500

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
