Additional federally-derived funds in the amount of$40,000 is being <br /> provided by the State of Hawai`i Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Safety Program to <br /> be used to purchase mobile data terminal Toughbook computers. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawai`i County Police Department's HCPD Data Grant account, bringing <br /> the total appropriation to $56,520. <br /> The Police Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be <br /> placed on the October 3, 2018 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
