CALL TO The regular meeting of the Committee on Environmental Management was called
ORDER: to order at 1:08 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Hilo, by Ms. Eileen O'Hara,
Chair.
ROLL CALL:

CHR. O'HARA: Okay. You do have the individual who is being considered for
appointment in Kona, is that correct?
MR. HENRICKS: It appears as such.
CHR. O'HARA: Okay. Well, we Called to Order and we've done our Roll Call,
let's have Communication 1056 read.
COMMUNI- The Chair directed the Committee to proceed to the next order of business,

Comm. 1056: NOMINATION OF DEE FULTON TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL
MANAGEMENT COMMISSION
From Mayor Harry Kim, dated August 29, 2018, submitting for the Council's
review and confirmation the above nomination.
Requires Council
Confirmation by: October 13, 2018 (Section 13-4(1),
Hawaii County Charter)
Vote on Comm. 1056: Mr. Kanuha moved to recommend confirmation of the
(Approved) appointment of Ms. Dee Fulton to the Environmental
Management Commission. Seconded by Ms. Eoff and
carried by the following voice vote:
Ayes: Committee Members Chung, David, Eoff,
Kanuha, Lee Loy, Poindexter, and
Chair O'Hara, — 7.
Noes: None.
Absent: Committee Members Richards and Ruggles — 2.
Excused: None.
Committee Members spoke in favor of the appointment.
CHR. O'HARA: Dr. Fulton, you will not have to come to Council. We have to
bring this up to the full Council to ratify or confirm you, but you won't' need to
come back a second time. Thank you for coming and thanks to the Council for
that. Can I have a motion to adjourn?
ORDER OF The Chair directed the Committee to proceed to the next order of business,
RESOLUTIONS: Order of Resolutions.

BILLS FOR The Chair directed the Committee to proceed to the next order of business,
ORDINANCES: Bills for Ordinances.

ADJOURN- There being no further business, at 1:22 p.m., Ms. Eoff moved to adjourn the
