Curtis Tyler III, Chair C~' ~~I~~~r Human Services and Econ mi evelopme t C ommrttee RE: TREE Center Resolution I am transmitting the attached resolution which supports and encourages the establishment and ongoing work of the Tropical Reforestation and Ecosystem Education (TREE) Center in the Kona district. I would like to request that this resolution be waived up from the committee level in order to have it ready for presentation in Washington, D.C. in mid July. As the committee chair for the Human Services Economic Development Committee, where I believe this resolution would be referred, I have signed the attached waiver request. Arakaki, Chair Hawaii County Council 25 Aupuni Street Hilo, Hawaii 96720 RE: Resolution No. 111-99 relating to the TREE Center Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be waived from the Committee on Human Services and Economic Development to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed on to the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on Human Services and Economic Development for placement on its future agenda.
