RE: TREE Center Resolution
I am transmitting the attached resolution which supports and encourages the
establishment and ongoing work of the Tropical Reforestation and Ecosystem Education
(TREE) Center in the Kona district.
I would like to request that this resolution be waived up from the committee level in order
to have it ready for presentation in Washington, D.C. in mid July. As the committee
chair for the Human Services Economic Development Committee, where I believe this
resolution would be referred, I have signed the attached waiver request.
Thank you for your favorable consideration in this important matter. If you have any
questions or need further information regazding this waiver request, please notify me
before noon on Monday.

RE: Resolution No. 111-99 relating to the TREE Center
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County
of Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced
matter be waived from the Committee on Human Services and Economic Development to
the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is
crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed on to
the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for
whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on Human
Services and Economic Development for placement on its future agenda.
Sincerely,
r
