SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION REQUIRING A MINIMUM STANDARD OF
CARE AND RESPECT FOR ANIMALS IN HAWAII COUNTY,
ACKNOWLEDGING ANIMALS AS SENTIENT BEINGS AND
RECOGNIZING THAT ALL SENTIENT BEINGS HAVE
UNIVERSAL NATURAL RIGHTS
Attached please find a resolution requiring a minimum standard of care and respect for animals
in Hawai`i County, acknowledging animals as sentient beings and recognizing that all sentient
beings have universal natural rights.
Please place this item on an appropriate agenda at your earliest convenience.
