Additional federally-derived funds in the amount of$623 is <br /> being provided by the State of Hawai`i Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and <br /> Justice Assistance Division to be used to improve the County's response and victim services <br /> involving crimes against women. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawai`i County Police Sexual Assault Nurse Coordinator account, <br /> bringing the total appropriation to $55,623. <br /> The Police Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be <br /> placed on the October 17, 2018 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
