SIJBJECT~ Bill# 111.99
Dear Honorable Council Members,
I am writing in support of Bill # 1 11.99, A Resolution Supporting caul Earcouragiavg the Establishment
mad Ongoing Work of the ?Topical Reforestation and Ecorystem Fducc~ian (TRb„~) Center in the
Kara District. The Division of Forestry & Wildlife is honored to be working vvl~}I TREE on projects
on the Big Island. TREE represents the future model of community based natural resource
management and a valuable asset for public agencies like ourselves. TREE provides a way for us to
interface with the local community and a wnnection to bring relevant wnservation education to
Hawau's youth. My only hope, that might remained unfiilfilled regarding TTtL`E, is an ability to keep
up with Skip Cowell, whose boundless energy is an inspiration . I commend TREE for aD of their
past good works and look forward to future projects with them. I also commend the Council for your
recognition and support for this fine grass roots organization
Sincerely,
Michael G. Buck =Administrator
