Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Res. No. 691-18,
reports as follows:
Resolution No. 691-18, transmitted by Ronald Kim, Deputy Corporation Counsel, via Comm. No. 1074
dated September 10, 2018, accepts the dedication of Road Lots A, G, and R-1, identified as Tax Map
Key Numbers: ( 3) 7- 4- 024: 013 and (3) 7- 4-024: 016, situated at Honokohau 2ND, District of
North Kona, Island and County of Hawai`i, State of Hawai`i, from McClean Honokohau Properties,
a Hawai`i Limited Partnership.
McClean Properties is desirous of dedicating the above roadways and all improvements thereon to the
County of Hawai`i for roadway purposes, and the roadways and improvements have been inspected and
approved by the Department of Public Works. Dedication approval has been received from the
Department of Water Supply, the Planning Department and the Department of Environmental
Management.
There was no public testimony on this measure. There was no discussion on this measure.
Article XIII, Section 13- 12 of the Hawai`i County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts,
including real estate or any interest in real estate, on behalf of the County of Hawai`i.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No. 691-18, and recommends its adoption.
