SUBJECT: RESOLUTION FOR A SIGN VARIANCE: Easley Corporation
76-274 Lako Street Fronting Kuakini Highway

Commercial/Industrial District)
Pursuant to Hawaii County Code (HCC) Sec. 3-22(a), I am forwarding a completed
application for a sign variance. The owner of the property is Easley Corporation whose
agent is Gregory Mooers whose phone number is (808) 880-1455. The proposed
ground sign, as depicted in the attached drawing, is located at 76-274 Lako Street
Kailua-Kona, HI 96740, with an area of 32-square feet as opposed to the permitted 24
square feet. The existing sign is located fifteen (15) feet from the Kuakini Highway right-
of-way and has been on the property for the last twenty-eight (28) years.
Per Section 3-11(a)(1)(B), Hawai'i County Code, if the frontage is greater than one
hundred lineal feet, a directory sign may not exceed twenty-four square feet, except that
no wall directory sign may exceed the lesser of twenty-four square feet or fifteen
percent of the wall area on which it is located.
