Dear Councilman Yagong, The Halekii Street "no parking" proposal is a valid concern. However, proper communication and input needs to first be received by those who work in the area and who will be affected by such a proposal. I have been attending the Kona Traffic Safety Committee meetings for the last 5 months and I have been working in the Kealakekua Post Office building for the past 14 years. Our building is located just off of Halekii Street. It is my understanding that those who work in my building have not been approached or interviewed yet. I would be glad to assist Officer Basque and Richard Nishimura in the task of informing those who will be affected and gathering ideas of what can be done to help all of us. In the meantime, I feel that voting on such a proposal is very premature. Si erel Josephin Keliipio 322-4808 (wk) 326-7998 (hm) Comm. No. '3'S.~` OOZ Ftile No. TRf Presewt _ P wp L Ref. To: Ref.
