Dear County Council Members:
As a coffee and avocado farmer in Holualoa and a board member of the Kona Coffee Farmers
Association and the Hawaii Avocado Association, I urge you to support Resolution 728. If this
County and this State are to move toward greater food self;sufficiency, our fellow farmers in
East Hawaii need and deserve the type of emergency support regularly afforded to farmers on
the mainland. I hope that the County Council unanimously adopts this resolution.
