Resolution No. 728 18—A RESOLUTION URGING THE HAWAI'I CONGRESSIONAL
DELEGATION AND THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
FARM SERVICE AGENCY TO WORK COLLECTIVELY TO LIFT THE CAP ON THE
NONINSURED CROP DISASTER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM DUE TO THE
CATASTROPHIC CIRCUMSTANCES FACED BY THE HAWAI'I ISLAND
AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY.
My name is Jon Tanouye and I am the current President of the Orchid Growers
of Hawaii (OGOH).
OGOH would like to give our support for Resolution 728 18.
This proposal will help to support our members that were affected by the
disasters that our island of Hawaii has recently endured.
We feel that it is imperative to support those faced with loss so that they can
continue to be members of the Ag community and in turn give back to our
community.
