Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
for a new multi-year lease agreement for a compact track loader with an auger drill
hydraulic hammer attachment for the Department of Parks and Recreation. This
equipment will replace an older unit which is becoming obsolete. The approximate
monthly cost will be $1,477 per month for 60 months, at which time the loader will
become the property of the County.

A. REQUEST:
Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for a period of five (5) years for a
Compact Track Loader with Auger Drill Hydraulic Hammer Attachment for the Department of Parks and
Recreation Parks Maintenance Division.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Compact Track Loader will replace an older and aging model with high usage and in need of frequent
repairs and has become hard to find replacement parts. A newer model will have more efficient features and
won't damage turf. The Compact Track Loader will be used for maintenance island-wide

as well as disaster debris removal.
The Compact Track Loader will be leased for a period of five (5) years. The purchase price is estimated at
$85,550. The estimated monthly cost for the lease is $1,477.
Funding for the lease is included in the FY 2018-2019 Budget. This equipment will be leased financed such
that the County will own the equipment at the end of the five (5) year lease.
