Resolution No. 492
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING ACCEPTANCE OF BID FOR
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT BONDS FOR IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 11,
DISCOVERY HARBOR SUBDIVISION AND ADJACENT LANDS, WAIOHINU,
DISTRICT OF KA'U, HAWAII.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 480, adopted by the Council
of the County of Hawaii, the Director of Finance of the
County of Hawaii was authorized and directed to prepare for
sale and to sell Improvement District Bonds for Improvement
District No. 11, Discovery Harbor Subdivision and Adjacent
Lands, Waiohinu, District of Ka'u, Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, by notice of sale publicly advertised by the
Director of Finance, bids were called for the above sale to
be received at the office of the Treasury Division, Department
of Finance, County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the only bid submitted to the Director of
Finance when publicly opened at 10:00 a.m., March 30, 1972,
was by BIRR, WILSON & COMPANY, INC. of San Francisco,
California, for the entire issue of $4,600,000.00 (less the
total amount of assessments paid on or before April 3, 1972,
if any), which bid was for $88.00 per $100.00 par value at
8% interest on all bonds; and
WHEREAS, the total amount of assessments paid on or
before April 3, 1972, was $5,994.73.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII:
That the Director of Finance of the County of Hawaii
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to accept said
highest bid of $4,042,724.64 for the entire issue of
$4,594,005.27 par value bonds of Improvement District No. 11,
Discovery Harbor Subdivision and Adjacent Lands, Waiohinu,
District of Ka'u, Hawaii, and to deliver said bonds to the
said bidder upon payment of the amount of said bid price plus
accrued interest, if any, from May 1, 1972, or the date said
bonds are tendered for delivery, whichever is later, to the
date of payment.
