Resolution
WHEREAS, the Council for the County of Hawaii, pursuant to Resolution
No. 445 , authorized the application for a Federal grant under Section 703
of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1965 to assist in financing the
development of a neighborhood facilities project, the Pence Community Hall,
in Dishes, Puna, County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary for the County of Hawaii, pursuant to
Section 703 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1965, to commit funds
to share in the cost of the Neighborhood Facilities Project amounting to one-
fourth of the cost of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the County of Hawaii
that the County commits the sum of $100,000.00, being one-fourth of the
estimated total project cost of $400,000.00 for the Neighborhood Facilities
Project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby instructed
to forward copies of this resolution to the appropriate Federal agency.
