Resolution
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII AUTHORIZING
THE ENTERING INTO OF AN ANNUAL ARRANGEMENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Federal Department of Housing and Urban
Development has extended an invitation to the County of
Hawaii to participate in developing an Annual Arrangement
Agreement for the timely delivery of Federal grant assistance;
and
WHEREAS, a basic purpose of the Annual Arrangement
Agreement is to afford opportunity to increase the role of
local government in coordinating the use of DHUD programs
in support of local comprehensive community development
plans; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and in the public interest
that the County of Hawaii participate in and enter into an
Annual Arrangement Agreement with the Department of Housing
and Urban Development,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it does hereby approve the entering
into of an Annual Arrangement Agreement with the Department
of Housing and Urban Development and that the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute such agreement, to provide
additional information and to furnish such documents as
may be required to meet the terms of the agreement and to
act as the authorized representative of the County of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk forward
a copy of this resolution to the Department of Housing and
Urban Development, San Francisco Area Office.
