RECOGNIZING CERTAIN REPORTS AND STUDIES AS THE PRIMARY
GUIDELINE CRITERIA, STANDARDS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE
IMPLEMENTING OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii General Plan elements such
as Flood Control and Drainage, Historic Sites, Health and
Sanitation, and Public Utilities all were developed with and
were based on respective studies and reports primarily funded
and formulated for this purpose;
WHEREAS, the Ordinance adopting the General Plan did not
specifically name the reports or studies; and
WHEREAS, the Areawide Planning Certification for the County
of Hawaii, under the auspices of the U. S. Department of Hcusing
and Urban Development requires that the specific relationship of
said reports be officially recognized as such;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it recognize and acknowledge that the following
reports and studies:
Drainage Master Plan for the County of Hawaii
R. M. Towill Corporation - August 1971
A Historical Site Study and Evaluation of North Hawaii
Virginia H. Loo and William J. Bonk - November 1970
Inventory of Archaeological and Historical Sites in the
Districts of Kona and Ka -u and in Anaehoomalu, South
Kohala, Hawaii
Kenneth Emory, Bishop Museum of Honolulu - December 1970
Sewerage Study for All Urban and Urbanizing Areas of the
County of Hawaii
Sunn, Low, Tom and Hare, Inc. - December 1970
Solid Waste Disposal Plan for the County of Hawaii
Sunn, Low, Tom and Hara, Inc. - December 1970
Water Master Plan for the County of Hawaii
Department of Water Supply - December 1971
are the guideline criteria, standards and recommendations to be
used in implementing the General Plan of the County of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT copies of this Resolution be
forwarded to the appropriate Federal agencies as evidence of the
action heretofore taken.
