Resolution
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of January 2C, 1972,
approved the changing of a street name from Kaumalumalu Road to Ihilani Place
for the "Keauhoa Naulca Subdivision" road located in Keauhou, North Kona, Hawaii;
ar d
WHEREAS, residents of the subdivision have expressed concern over the
difficulty in locating the turnoff for the subdivision from, the main highway;
and
WHEREAS, this has created a traffic hazard along the highway; and
'r1HERAS, the street name Ihilani Pla::e means "heavenly splendor" in
Hawaiian; and
'WHEREAS, the said change has conformed with the County of Hawaii's street
naming policy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY Or HAWAII that
the name Kaumalumalu Road appearing in Resolution Be. 57, adopted on
February 20, 1963, is hereby deleted and in lieu thereof the name Ihilani Place
is inserted therein.
