HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 455 Draft 01 1969-1972RESOLUTION NO. 455 WHEREAS, in the year i;ineteen Hundred and Seventy -Two, after forty-four (44) years of dedicated service as a teacher and administrator in Hawaii's public education system, HOWARD I. TAKENAKA, responsible private citizen of the State of Hawaii, did announce his retirement from the profession which he has nobly and unselfishly served and did thereby bring to an end his highly productive career as an educator par excellence; and WHEREAS, said HOWARD I. TAKENAKA, has, through his dedication to his work, earned the lasting admiration, respect and friendship of the numerous Big Islanders who have had the opportunity and good fortune to know and associate with him; and WHEREAS, the citizenry of the State of Hawaii, and especially those of the County of Hawaii are grateful for the many years of teaching service rendered them by HOWARD I. TAKENAKA in the past and are justifiably proud of his numerous and worthwhile accomplishments in the field of education, community service and sports activities; NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends to HOWARD I. TAKENAKA on his day of recognition and honor, its heartfelt "Mahalo" for his dedicated service to the people of the County and the State of Hawaii; and BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed to forward a true copy of this resolution to HOWARD I. TAKENAKA as evidence of the gratitude of the people of Hawaii County, who in this humble manner express their warm wishes to HOWARD I. TAKENAKA for a yet productive and even more satisfying life of retirement. Dated at Hilo, fawaii, this ?nd day of February, 1972. CAL
