Resolution
WHEREAS, the road reserve known as Young Road located within
Parcel "1" (being a portion of the Waiakea Homesteads, Tax Map Key:
2-4-04, South Hilo, Hawaii) has not been abandoned; and
WHEREAS, said roadway is no longer of any use to the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, that portion of the road reserve passing through Lot "A"
when abandoned shall be incorporated into Lot "A", as delineated on the
map attached, which is to be the site of the proposed Panaewa Race Track
and Rodeo Facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the roadway located within Parcel "U', as delineated in red
on the map attached hereto and marked Exhibit A, be and is hereby declared
abandoned as a roadway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and direct-
ed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Department of Land and
Natural Resources, State of Hawaii, and to the Department of Public Works
of the County of Hawaii.
