WHEREAS, MR. KONGO KIMURA has been on the agricultural
teaching staff of the Pahoa high and Elementary School for the
past thirty (30) years; and
T4HERFAS, throughout "Ills years of service he has
conscientiously and adnirably served as advisor to the Pahoa
chapter of the young farmer program, in addition to
instructing foreign students from Okinawa the basics of the
English language; and
WHEPE.A.S, his service and dedication are deeply appreciated
by the people of the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii wholeheartedly
endorses house Resolution No. 409 and joins with the Membemrs of
the House of Plepresentatives, Sixth Leqislatare, 'Recrular Session
of 3.972, and the Citizens of Puna, in extending its commendation
and gratitude for the valuable services provided to the
community of Puna;
YOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the County

i. that R. KONGO KIMURA be ancl is hereby extended the
appreciation and commendation of the County of Hawaii for his
loyal and conscientious services over these many years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to fcn.iard a true copy of this
resolution to MR. KONGO KIMURA, his wife, Sueko, and Pahoa High
and Elementary School.
