Resolution No. 522.0
PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR A PUBLIC PARK, KEAUKAHA,
WAIAKEA, DISTRICT OF SOUTH HILO, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
I.
That it is necessary, for the public use and purpose, to wit:
Expansion of James K. Kealoha Park, Keaukaha, Waiakea, District of
South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, to take, acquire, and condemn
certain land with all improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto
belonging, in fee simple absolute, free and clear of all liens and
encumbrances, hereinafter described and to that end and for these
purposes the Corporation Counsel of the County of Hawaii be and he is
hereby authorized and empowered to initiate proceedings in eminent
domain, as provided by law, for the taking, acquisition and condemna-
tion of Parcels 191, 58 and 59 of Tax Map Key 2-1-17, and more particularly
described as follows:
All of those certain parcels of land situate at Keaukaha, Waiakea,
District of South Hilo, Island and County of Hawaii, State of Hawaii.
Lot 1, area 831,736 square feet, as shown on Map 1, filed in the
office of the Assistant Registrar of the Land Court of the State
of Hawaii with Land Court Consolidation 124;
Being all of the land described in Transfer Certificate of Title
No. 1453,352.
Lot 2, area 1.158 acres and Lot 3, area 1.745 acres, as shown on Map 2,
filed in the Office of the Assistant Registrar of the Land Court of
the State of Hawaii with Land Court Application 1230;.
Being all of the land described in Transfer Certificate of Title No.
129,024.
II.
That in the process of said proceedings in eminent domain, said
Corporation Counsel be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to
negotiate terms of settlement, subject to the approval of this Council
and of the Court before which such proceedings are prosecuted.

the Assistant Registrar of the Land Court of the State of Hawaii with Land Court Ap-
plication 1230;
Being allof the land described in Transfer Certificate of Title No. 129,024.

and he is hereby authorized and empowered to negotiate terms of settlement, subject to
