Resolution
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has recently adopted a revised General Plan
document containing the County's goals, policies and standards; and
WHEREAS, a review and investigation of all applicable rulesv regulations,
ordinances, and policies need to be conducted to assure compatibility with the
goals and policies of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, a program of action to resolve such inconsistencies needs also to
be developed and implemented; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii recognizes the pressing need for such a
study and accordingly agrees to contribute $1,000 in cash and $10,666 in
services in kind for such a project; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the Hawaii County Council that it does hereby request
of the State Department of Planning and Economic Development and the United
States Department of Housing and Urban Development assistance in funding the
Hawaii County General Plan Implementation Project under the auspices of "701"
Planning Grants; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this resolution be
forwarded to the appropriate State and Federal agencies in compliance with
their requests.
