WHEREASS, the late FLIAS P. YADAO served the County of

'kawaii as one of its leading Supervisors for seven prosperous
years from 1959 up until his death in 1966; and
lk,TIERFAS, Supervisor ELIAS P. YADAO dedicated his life to
public service in the Army of the United States, as an attorney
in Hawaii, and as a distinguished Supervisor of the County of
Havwraii - anO

WHEREAS, Supervisor Elias P. Yadao was instrumental in
obtaining the furies for the erection of the facilities of the
new pavilion at Kolekole Park - and

WHERIE&ASr the new pavilion is presently unnamed; and
WFFPFP,,S, the neralners of the community who constantly use
Kolekole Park as a recreational area wish to express their
appreciation to Supervisor ELIAS "EPY" YADA0 for the new
pavilion facilities.; and

I P,,r,.,AS,, the llakalau Vclunteer. Fire Fighters have
recoT-emended that the new pavilion at Kolekole Park be named
"THE EPY YADAO PAVILION"7 and
WHERF,AS, the people of the County of Hawaii wish to so
honor and rentember '31--".LIAS "EPY" YADAC for his many years of
unselfish service to the people of this community,
P{ OV THEREFOREr BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE

.& A . that t1 -ie new pavilion at Yolekole Park be and
is hereby Cesignated "TIM EPY YADAO PAVILION."
EF IT FURTHER RESOLV"F-D that the County Clerk be instructed
to forward a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Josephine
Yadao, 'widow of the late IF,11AS P. YADAO, and to the hakalau
Volunteer Fire Fighters.
