WHEREAS, on the 27th day of May, 1972, MISS ELLENA MAE DIEGO,,
nineteen -year old Hilo College coed, was chosen to be this year's
Big Island's Miss Hawaii Fillipina; and
WHEREAS, MISS ELLERA MAE DIEGO was chosen for her charm,
beauty, and talent over a field of five other contestants
vying for the title of Miss Hawaii Filipina; and
WHEREAS,, the County of 11awaiii is proud of the lovely
MISS ELLENA MAE DIEGO, Miss Hawaii Filipina, for her wonderful
accomplishment, ?,ersonality, beauty, and talent,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that sincere congratulations and warm wishes for
continuing happiness and success in, the future be extended to
MISS ELLENA MAI] DIEGO, Miss Hawaii Filipina of 1972.
BE IT FURTHER -2:SCLVEED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of this
resolution to the parents of MISS ELLENA MAE DIEGO, Mr. and
Mrs. ftilio Diego of Naalehu, County and State of Hawaii, in
recognition of their daughter's notable accomplishment.
