NAMING OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its meeting of August 3,
1972, approved the following names for certain unnamed roadways
in the County of Hawaii, State of Hawaii:
Kuhio Village Subdivision,, Puuka.2u., Waimea, South Kohala
Hale -Alii Street - meaning King's Palace or House of the King
Hiiaka Street - meaning Princess and Sister to Pele
Kamamalu street - meaning Queen to Kamehameha II
Kamanawa Street - meaning High Chief and Counselor to
Kamehameha I
Kauikeouli Street - meaning Kamehameha III
Kekauluohi Street - meaning Daughter to Kalakaua
Lunalilo Street meaning Last King in Kamehameha Dynasty
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the said roadways located in the County of Hawaii, State
of Hawaii, be named as follows:
Kuhio Village Subdivision, Puukapu,, Waimea, South Kohala, Hawaii
(delineated on map attached hereto as "Exhibit A" and made
a part hereof)
Hale -Alii Street - meaning King's Palace or House of the King
Hiiaka Street - meaning Princess and Sister to Pele
Kamamalu Street . - meaning Queen to Kamehameha II
Kamanawa Street - meaning High Chief and Counselor to
Kamehameha I
Kauikeouli Street - meaning Kamehameha III
Kekauluohi Street - meaning Daughter to Kalakaua
Lunalilo Street - meaning Last King in Kamehameha Dynasty
