WHEREAS, MR. GREGORY VICTORINE, fifteen -year old flilo youth,
is an Outstanding Cadet of the Civil Air Patrol, and is Cadet
Comander of the Cadet Section, LyanField Composite Squadron; and
MEPEAS, he has distinguished himself by earning the Amelia
Earhart Certificate and rank of Cadet Captain.- and
WEPREAS, the Amelia Earhart Award is the second highest
award that may be achieved by a cadet below the age of 18 --
second only to the Spaatz Award; and
WHEREAS, the Amelia Earhart Certificate is the third highest
award that may be achieved by a Civil Air Patrol Cadet regardless
of age; ane
WHEREASt Cl!�EGORY VICTORINE is the first cadet from the Lyman
Field Composite Squadron ever to attain the rank of Cadet Captain
and receive the Amelia Earliart Certificate since the establishment
of the Squadron in 1944; and
WHEREAS, he is the youngest cadet ever to earn the Amelia Larhart
Certificate from the Fawaii Wincr; and
WhEREAS, his accomplishments have brought hon'or to his family,
his community, his Civil Air Patrol unit., the County of Hawaii and
to the State of Rawaiit
THEIPFFORM, j. BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it extends its congratulations to GREGORY VICII)RINE
for achieving the rank of Cadet Captain and the award of the
Amelia Farhart Certificate.- and
BE IT FURTHER RF-S0LVFD that the Council of the County of Hawaii,
on behalf of the people of the Big Island, wishes GREGORY VICTORINE
