WHEREAS, on September .15 , 1972s, MRS. JENNIE K. YAMADA
of the Department of Personnel Services, County of Hawaii,
was chosen Hawaii County Goverment Non -Supervisory Employee
of the Year and was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in
recognition of outstanding public services rendered to the
County of Hawaii and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Mr, Zdwa.rd L. Silva,, Director of Personnel
Services, nominated MRS. JE IE R! YAMADA as a candidate for
County Government Mon -Supervisory Employee of the Year on the
basis that MRS, YAMADA sets a high example of public service
for fellow employees to follow; MRS. YAMADA' s always pleasant
attitude and fast and efficient wanner of serving the public;
her exercise of great initiative and goad judgment in fulfilling
her duties and responsibilities; and the molding of her staff
into a fast, effective and efficient working team, which has
saved the County of Hawaii thousands of dollars in comparative
salary expense; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission of the County of
Hawaii joined in the nomination of SIRS . YAMADA due to her
competence and dependability; that MRS. YAMADA produces work
above that which is normally expected of her; and for her
professional organization and expression of the Commission's
thoughts; and
RZAS, MRS, YAMADA was also endorsed as Outstanding
Employee of the Year by members of her staff and fellow employees;
and
AREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is very proud
and honored to have such an outstanding employee as MRS, YAMADA
working in the County government and wishes to express its
congratulations and gratitude for her outstanding services and
a ccomp 1 ishments ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY COUNCIL of THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that MRS, JEHHIS R. YAMADA be, and is hereby,
cownended and congratulated for being chosen Hawaii County
Government None -Supervisory Employee of the Year and is hereby
extended the Council's sincere appreciation and "Mahalo" in
recognition of her continuing and outstanding work as a dedicated
public servant of the people of the County of Hawaii.
BE IT Fl. RESOLVED that a true copy of this resolution
be transmitted by the County Clerk to MRS , JENNIE K. YAMADA
