The volcanic nature of our environment here in Puna District should make alternative safe routes in and out of the district a priority. These should have been made possible many years ago,but as there is no time like the present,I urge the County to act upon this resolution immediately. Access to my land is completely cut off. I urge you to take every possible step to get access for the affected property owners in lower Puna. It is vital for citizens to have access to their homes and land. It seems as though FEMA was making money available for access from what I have read. I hope we can use that money to re-establish roads for the people of lower Puna(Kapoho,Noni Farms,Pohoiki, etc).I am also hopeful that Pohoiki will be open for use by all property owners of Lower Puna. I appreciate your consideration and action to help the citizens get home.I support Resolution 732-18 and ask that you also support it. Road recovery needs to be a top priority. Thank you. Sincerely, Claire Waters McGuire PO Box 901 Pahoa,HI 96778
