WHEREAS, the 18th day of October, 1972, marked the
passing of former Big Island legislator and police official,
BERNARD GEORGE KINNEY, and
.IHEREAS, this esteemed pubs.ic figure has, through his
noted legislative accomplishments and public service, left
behind him a legacy rich in benefits to all the people of the
Big Island; and
WHEREAS, all of Hawaii County is deeply saddened by his
untimely death;
NOW, THERIFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the County
of Hawaii that it bids BERNARD GEORGE K.INNEY a last "Mahalo and
Aloha" imbued with the everlasting gratitude and warmth felt by
all the people of Hawaii County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council extends to
BERNARD GEORGE KINNEY' s wife, Fusae, its deepest sympathies
for her great loss, with the accompanying hopes that some comfort
may be found in the knowledge that her grief is shared by all Big
Island residents; and
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and
is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of this resolution to
?Mrs. Fusae Kinney, as evidence of Hawaii County's great respect
and admiration for her late husband.
