Resolution No. 578
RESOLUTION APPOINTING PAYING AGENTS FOR BONDS OF IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 10, KALOKO MAUKA, NORTH KONA, HAWAII.
WHEREAS, this Council has provided for the issuance
of improvement district bonds in the principal amount
of $4,156,063.05 for Improvement District No. 10, Kaloko
Mauka, North Kona, Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 565 provides that the County
shall designate a Hilo, Hawaii, paying agent for payment
of principal and interest on said bonds if the successful
bidder fails to designate such paying agent in his bid,
and that the Hilo, Hawaii, paying agent shall in turn
designate the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and
New York paying agents for these bonds; and
WHEREAS, the successful bidder has failed to designate
a Hilo, Hawaii, paying agent in his bid, and the County is
desirous of appointing such paying agent;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII:
Section 1. That the Bank of Hawaii is hereby appointed
the Hilo, Hawaii, paying agent for said bonds; and
Section 2. That the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to execute a paying agency agreement on behalf
of the County, and the County Clerk is hereby directed and
authorized to countersign said agreement and affix the
seal of the County thereto.
