January 1, 1969; and as the Prosecuting 7-Ittorney frog::.
January 2, 1969 to December 4, 1972; and
WITEREAS , YOSY11TO TAMAKA I s service to the County- of
bawaii has always, reflected the principle that the continued
existence of a free and dentocratic society depends upon
recognition of the concept that justice is based upon the
rule of law grounded in respect for the dignity of the
individual anO the individual's capacity for enlightened
self-government; an('.
WHEREAS, law so groundeO. makes justice possible, for
only through such law does the dignity of the in(1i-,.ri(,-ual
attain respect and protection; and
WTIFREAS, YOSHITO TANAKA has given coir�pletely of hi-ai--,self
to promote the general welfare of the (County of Tlawaii under
the law and has always worked towards --maintaining the
integrity and competence of the legal arm. of the County,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CC UNTITY OF HAWAII that the said YOSEITO TANAYA be and is
hereby extended a warm "mahalo" from, the people of the County
of Hawaii for his high sense of devotion and defUcation
to public service together with the sincere best wishes of
this County Council in all of his future uneertakincjs.
